Kathleen

Years ago upon entering the hot room I was intrigued. A journey began that to this day is still in motion.

I always knew I wanted to pursue teacher training and finally made it happen in spring of 2018 in Portsmouth NH. The adventures of teaching and practicing this yoga are endless! Mostly, I find resolution in coming to know myself more fully in this practice. My goal is to share with others the healing therapy that can be awakened by becoming completely present in ones body. Here. Now. On the line.

My name is Kathleen. I’m a Taurus. My favorite color is Oregon. My favorite potato dish is french fries.

I took my first Bikram style yoga class in December of 2003 in Corvallis. Since that time the hot room has always been there for me. As a student, this yoga helped me concentrate, as a runner it was simply cross training. As a new mom the practice gave me time for myself, and as an Emergency Room nurse it was a cathartic post shift sweat. When my shoulder was plagued by pain and injury the hot room was my physical therapy. Finally, when my heart was so heavy with grief that I felt I couldn’t go on, this moving meditation has brought me peace. Mostly, I find resolution in coming to know myself more fully through this practice. I went to training in Portsmouth NH in summer of 2018. Whether I am standing on the podium or shaking alongside my peers in Awkward Part 2, I love the adventures in the community of the hot room.
